These 50 properties are in S, U and V blocks of the colony. The DTCP has now sent a list of these buildings to the DLF 3 police station, seeking FIRs against the owners.
GURUGRAM: The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has asked Gurgaon police to file FIRs against 50 property owners for allegedly carrying out construction by violating the building norms in DLF-3.
During a recent survey of the plots earmarked for the economically weaker section (EWS), the enforcement team of DTCP found that most property owners in the colony violated the building norms by carrying out construction of additional floors without mandatory permission or extending balconies. These 50 properties are in S, U and V blocks of the colony. The DTCP has now sent a list of these buildings to the DLF 3 police station, seeking FIRs against the owners.
District town planner (enforcement) RS Batth said these property owners have carried out construction beyond the permissible limit without obtaining mandatory permission from the authorities.
“The properties are part of DLF-3 for which a licence has been granted under the section 3 of Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975. According to the rules, nobody can erect or re-erect buildings in a licensed colony without mandatory permission. If it is done, it will be considered a violation of the Act,” he added
Batth said violators have deliberately continued to carry out illegal construction in contravention of the provision of Act 8 of 1975, which could attract punishment, including imprisonment. “The department has asked Gurgaon police to register FIRs against all owners of the listed properties where illegal construction has been carried out,” he added.
