News: 2 master roads in new sectors to clear hurdles for civic infra-10-09-2021
Gurgaon: Paving the way for the completion of two key master roads in the new sectors of Gurgaon — Sectors 81-82 dividing road and Sectors 81-81A dividing road — HSVP and GMDA have demarcated the land required for a 400-metre incomplete stretch.
The roads are, in fact, incomplete due to the non-availability of land for the stretch that would be common to both the roads. Once complete, these two roads will ensure water supply and sewerage lines in sectors 81 to 95 and also improve the connectivity of the areas with the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway and the proposed Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari Highway, expected to be ready by December 2022.
Officials said the demarcation of the land has been done and now work to construct the incomplete stretch will start. The two roads will be constructed by GMDA.
“With the completion of the two roads, work for the utilities (water pipeline, sewerage and drainage) will also be done that will benefit the residents of sector 81-95. Hospital and commercial complexes will also come up on this road,” junior engineer Sandeep Lot said. “In the coming days, we will remove the structures and other obstacles coming in the way of the road.
The completion of these roads will also ensure direct connection between NH-8 and the 46-km-long Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari Highway, which is expected to be ready by December 2022. This highway is a part of NH-352, which has a length of about 46.11km.
The project will be executed by NHAI and it will have 99 culverts, 12 small bridges, one underpass for pedestrians and small vehicles, 13 underpasses, two flyovers and one road overbridge. The road will have three interchanges. It will start from Hero Honda Chowk in Gurgaon and end at Rewari.
