News: Gurugram: 8 illegal structures near ammo depot razed-25-08-2021
GURUGRAM: The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Tuesday carried out a demolition drive in the 900-metre restricted area around the ammunition depot, in which eight unauthorised structures were demolished.
Out of eight, three were newly constructed houses, one was an under-construction house while four were shops. A team led by assistant engineers Sanjog Sharma and Wasim Akram along with the police carried out the drive in Dharam Colony.
MCG commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja said that construction is not allowed in the restricted area around 900-metre ammunition depot and people should not buy plots, houses, shops or any other property in the area.
Moreover, the demolition drive was simultaneously carried out in the Bhondsi area. A team led by assistant engineer Naim Hussain initiated the demolition drive during which 50 structures constructed at the damp-proof course (DPC) level and 30 under construction buildings were demolished.
The team demolished these structures built in Ryan Enclave, Shri Ram Enclave, Sneh Vihar, Maruti Kunj and Bharat Kunj.
The enforcement teams of each of the four zones have been carrying out demolition drives in their respective zones and razing unauthorised buildings.
