The site has been approved by the chief administrator HSVP, who said that the office complex will be constructed by HSVP.
In a letter to administrator of HSVP Gurgaon, chief town planner (CTP) said, “Based on the examination of the given proposal by Gurgaon office, four sites of commercial towers each measuring approximately 10-acre, one site of HSVP/DTCP office complex measuring 2.5-acre and a site measuring 1.45-acre for commercial complex in Sector 29 have been approved by the chief administrator.”
The CTP also requested administrator to get the demarcation and zoning plan of the approved site finalised and send to the office within a week.
The chief administrator HSVP has decided that the joint office building for DTCP and HSVP may also house other Haryana government offices and the space allotment will be decided by the headquarter on the recommendation of administrator HSVP Gurgaon.
A senior official said the DTCP is getting restructured by making planning and enforcement wings more effective and the number of officials in the city will increase. Therefore a new office will be helpful in its smooth functioning. On July 19, the DTCP office was in news after it got flooded due to rains, after which DTCP director KM Pandurang had said land would soon be finalised for the construction of a new office.
