News: ‘Intensify vigil against illegal structures near ammo depot’-07-08-2021
Gurgaon: The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Friday issued an order asking the officials to ensure that no unauthorised construction takes place in the 900-metre restricted area around the IAF ammunition depot. The civic body has also given directions to the officials that demolitions should take place on the same day they get information about any illegal construction.
The assistant engineers and junior engineers have been directed to visit the restricted area twice a week to check illegal construction and submit a weekly report. “Construction activity in this area is to be stopped completely and if any violation is there then a case be put up for issuing notice and demolition of the same on the same day when construction has been detected,” read the order issued on Friday.
The MCG has divided the restricted zone around the Air Force station into three pockets to ensure better enforcement. Pocket 1 includes Maruti Udhyog near Mandir to Gurgaon One apartment (Devi Lal Park), Nobal Farm left-hand side dividing road main entry in Sector 23A, Jai Vihar dividing road main entry in Sector 23A, Carterpuri cremation ground and Park Dharam Colony up to MCG Gaushala. For Pocket 1, executive engineer Sunder Sheron is the enforcement officer-in-charge.
Pocket 2 includes Air Force mess near Old DLF, Sector 14, Sector 18, Sukhrali Enclave up to Maruti Udhyog Mandir left-side along with ammunition depot, Kamdhenu Chowk Ashok Vihar-III (complete) upto Revenue Rasta, liquor shop before Sector 5 Circle Chowk, Sector 12A Road Rajiv Nagar West (complete) up to CRPF Camp P Junction, Rajiv Nagar (Complex) Sanjay Gram up to Atul Kataria Chowk. Executive engineer Tushar Yadav is the enforcement officer of Pocket 2. Pocket 3 includes Revenue Rasta liquor shop to Sheetla Colony (complete) Amanpura village Gurgaon and Sheetla Mata Mandir. Sunil Lather is the in-charge of Pocket 3. According to the orders, supervision of all three pockets will be done by Jitender Garg, joint commissioner of Zone 2.
