NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) reviewed the compliance of the orders passed against the complaints of allottees of pending projects and the progress of the promoter's projects of Supertech.
The review meeting was chaired by Rajive Kumar, chairman, UP-RERA.
The authority has passed 282 orders against the company for refund of the amount of allottees and has issued 249 recovery certificates against the promoter. However, compliance has been done in only 101 cases by the company so far.
Kumar expressed displeasure at the compliance of the orders by the promoter and strict instructions were given to ensure compliance without any further adieu. The company's chairman R.K. Arora assured that by the end of August, the compliance of at least 70 percent of the orders will be ensured by him.
The status of compliance of orders of possession given by the authority of the allotted apartment/unit in favor of 933 allottees of the promoter has elapsed. It was informed by the promoter that out of these, 402 allottees have been offered possession.
It has also been informed by the promoter that by the month of August, the occupancy certificate of four projects of the promoter, Eco Village-1, Eco Village-2, Eco Village-3 and Supertech Upcountry will be obtained within 2 months and 140 allottees will be occupied in these projects.
Arora also informed the authority that they will submit project wise and complaint wise action plan for compliance of the orders.
The promoter has 40 registered projects and it was found that out of these, the registration of 26 projects has lapsed. Out of these 26 lapsed projects, only 8 projects have been completed by the promoter.
UP-RERA chairman gave strict instructions to the promoter to submit a concrete action plan to complete the remaining projects in the shortest possible time and to provide speedy possession to the allottees.
The promoter said that in some projects applications will be submitted for the extension of registration, and the action plan will be made available within a week to complete all the projects in a minimum time period. It was clarified by Kumar that the projects for which extension of registration is not possible as per rules, proposal should be submitted by the company to complete such projects with the consent of RWA/AOA, otherwise action will be taken under section 8 of RERA Act.
Kumar further said that the disposal of the registration applications of the future projects of the promoter would depend on the status of compliance of the orders of the authority.
