News: Gurugram: DTCP razes illegal shops and PGs in Budhera-25-02-2021
GURUGRAM: Six under-construction shops and five big structures, including guesthouses and PG, were demolished by the enforcement team of town and country planning department in Budhera area on Wednesday. These structures were illegally constructed by the builders without any permission from the concerned department.
District town planner RS Batth said that despite strict directions by the department to not construct illegal structures, builders were carrying out construction in Budhera village. On the basis of the information, the officer visited the area and found illegal structures and notices were served to the builders but they failed to take corrective measures within the stipulated time.
On Wednesday, the enforcement team along with police force razed these shops and other structures with the help of three earthmovers. We will take strict action against the builders, if construction is restarted in the area, Batth added.
Last year, seven farmhouses being developed on 12 acres in Budhera area were also demolished by the enforcement team. These farmhouses were being built violating several norms mentioned in the state government’s policy.
