Gurgaon: Officials from the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Friday inspected CHD Avenue 71 society following a complaint by the residents against the developer for not completing the pending development work in the society.
On July 26, the residents filed a complaint against the developer on CM window alleging several deficiencies in the project. Following which, the senior town planner held a meeting with the residents and representatives of the developer on August 27 and directed the DTCP to carry out a site inspection and submit the report within 10 days.
Senior town planner, Sanjeev Mann, said that he was awaiting the report from the concerned DTCP official on the matter.

“The necessary directions will be issued after receiving the report,” Mann added.

The residents in their complaint alleged that the conditions of the occupancy certificate have not been fully complied with by the developer.

They pointed out that the developer had got the partial occupancy certificate between 2013 and 2016 but failed to complete the pending infrastructure work in the society despite repeated complaints.

The representative of the developer could not be reached for a comment despite repeated attempts.

In the 861 flats of the society, more than 750 families are currently living without proper fire safety measures, putting their lives in jeopardy. They alleged that the fire department has not issued a fire NOC to the society and also highlighted several other shortcomings.

Gaurav Kalra, a complainant in the matter, said, “There are several deficiency in the project and the developer is yet to complete the pending work amounting to Rs 5 crore. The electricity infrastructure lies with the builder. They have not been providing electricity bills to the owners since April 2018 and charging arbitrarily from the residents without even sharing the details.”

He added that he has filed a complaint on January 1 this year with the DTCP and the department had issued a notice to the developer to file a compliance report on the status of the project.

“Till date the developer has done nothing in the matter and no action has been taken by the department, following which I had filed a complaint on the CM window,” Kalra said.
