Yamunanagar deputy commissioner (DC) Girish Arora told the media on Wednesday, "A team of the state disaster response force (SDRF) has reached Yamunanagar. The administration is fully prepared to tackle any situation."

Arora said that WhatsApp groups adding ex-sarpanches, numberdars, chowkidars, block development and panchayat officers and tehsildars were created to exchange flood-related information in the areas of the Yamuna river and other seasonal rivulets of the district.

An IRWD official claimed it was the highest level of water recorded during this monsoon season.
